The MCIMS Academic Fiesta, held on 5th February 2026 at Marengo CIMS Hospital, was successfully conducted as part of its Continuing Medical Education (CME) initiative, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and multidisciplinary clinical learning. The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from 37 consultants and medical officers, reflecting a strong culture of knowledge exchange and collaborative practice.
The academic deliberations commenced with “MASLD in Day-to-Day Clinical Practice – What a Clinician Should Know” by Dr. Bhavesh Thakkar, Consultant Gastroenterologist, followed by an engaging panel discussion featuring Dr. Sanjeev Phatak, Clinical Director for Diabetes and Metabolic Diseases, Dr. Rajeev Bansal, Consultant Gastroenterologist, and Dr. Rashmi Chovatia, Consultant Physician. The session highlighted practical insights and evidence-based approaches in metabolic liver disease management.
The second session on “Foot & Ankle Surgery – Defining its Role as a Distinct Subspecialty” was delivered by Dr. Harsh Vyas, Consultant Foot and Ankle Surgeon, with expert panel inputs from Dr. Neil Rohra, Sr. Consultant Orthopaedics & Trauma Surgeon, Dr. Devashi Visana, Consultant Neurologist, and Dr. Rikin Shah, Consultant Physician and Obesity Specialist, emphasizing the evolving scope of specialized orthopedic care.
Further enriching the CME, Dr. Tejas Patel, Interventional Cardiologist, presented on “RDN Interventional Therapy for Resistant Hypertension,” while Dr. Hiren Kevadiya, Consultant Cardiac Electrophysiologist, conducted an insightful session on ECG interpretation. The Academic Fiesta once again strengthened Marengo CIMS Hospital’s vision of continuous professional development and advancement of patient-centered care through structured academic platforms.
