Marengo CIMS Hospital, in association with IMA Rajkot and the Association of Physicians, Rajkot, successfully organized the JIC Mid-Term Conference on 12th April 2026. The conference witnessed participation from over 140 doctors, creating a vibrant platform for academic exchange, clinical discussions, and professional networking. The event reflected a strong commitment towards advancing medical knowledge and improving patient care outcomes, while strengthening collaboration within the medical fraternity.
The conference was led by eminent experts including Dr Dhiren Shah, Dr Anish Chandarana, and Dr Hiren Kevadiya. Dr Dhiren Shah, Cardiac Surgeon, presented “Hospital Without Walls”, highlighting innovative models of patient-centric care. Dr Anish Chandarana, Interventional Cardiologist, delivered an insightful session on “CT Coronary Calcium Score: Importance and How to Interpret.” Dr Hiren Kevadiya, Cardiac Electrophysiologist, shared expertise on “How Can We Prevent Sudden Cardiac Arrest?”, emphasizing preventive strategies in cardiac care.
Further enriching the scientific program, renowned specialists such as Dr Tejas V Patel, Dr Bhavesh B Parekh, and Dr Hemant Menghani contributed significantly. Dr Tejas V Patel, Interventional Cardiologist, spoke on “Who Should (or Should Not) Go for TAVI/TAVR”, offering clarity on patient selection for advanced cardiac interventions. Dr Bhavesh B Parekh, Head Medical Oncology, presented “How Can I Diagnose Occult Metastasis”, focusing on early detection strategies. Dr Hemant Menghani, Consultant – Pediatric Oncology, Hematology & Bone Marrow Transplant, shared “Our Experience of Stem Cell Transplants – From Pediatric to Geriatric Age Group.”
The conference also featured insightful sessions by Dr Harsh Vyas, Dr Mitesh Chandarana, Dr Dr Harsh Vyas, Consultant Foot and Ankle Surgeon, discussed “Foot and Ankle Surgery: Defining Its Role as a Distinct Subspeciality.” Dr Mitesh Chandarana, Consultant Neurologist, covered “Recent Advances in Management of Parkinson’s Disease.” Dr Amit Patel, Consultant Interventional and Transplant Pulmonologist, presented “Update on Lung Transplant.” Dr Gaurav Patel, Clinical Director – Transplant & HPB Surgeon, delivered “Liver Transplantation: What Physicians Should Know.”
The sessions were well-structured, interactive, and aligned with current clinical challenges. Active participation from local physicians and consultants ensured meaningful discussions and knowledge exchange.
