Cardiology Workshop at IMA NATCON 2025 Concludes Successfully at Marengo CIMS Hospital
Marengo CIMS Hospital, Ahmedabad, successfully hosted an intensive Cardiology Workshop as part of the All India Medical Conference (IMA NATCON 2025) on Friday, 26 December 2025, in association with the IMA Gujarat State Branch and Ahmedabad Medical Association. The workshop, held from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, witnessed active participation from medical professionals and proved to be a highly enriching academic experience.
The programme began with a welcome and brief introduction of the Cardiac Sciences Team, followed by a series of expert-led sessions covering a broad spectrum of contemporary cardiology topics. Dr. Vipul Kapoor , Interventional cardiologist discussed recent updates in resistant hypertension, while Dr. Amit Chandan cardio thoracic and vascular surgeon shared insights into evolving trends in cardiac surgery. Emergency-focused learning was addressed by Dr. Hiren Kevadiya cardio electro physiologist through ECG interpretation in acute settings.
Advances in cardiometabolic care were highlighted by Dr. Hemang Baxi Interventional cardiologist and foundational surgical knowledge on CABG was presented by Dr. Dhaval Naik cardiac and Heart Lung transplant surgeon . The workshop also included an engaging audio-visual presentation showcasing the Marengo CIMS Centre of Excellence (COE).
Preventive cardiology and chronic disease management were key highlights, with Dr. Anish Chandarana Interventional cardiologist addressing cholesterol and statin-related myths, Dr. Urmil Shah Interventional Cardiologist focusing on heart failure recognition and treatment, and Dr. Milan Chag Interventional cardiologist & Heart failure cardiologist discussing dietary fats and cardiovascular health. The final academic session by Dr. Tejas V. Patel Interventional cardiologist featured a case-based approach to acute chest pain and acute coronary syndromes.
Interactive audience discussions (Q&A) throughout the workshop encouraged meaningful dialogue and practical learning. The event concluded with lunch, marking the end of a knowledge-rich and well-received workshop.
