The Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GCCI), through its Business Women Committee, successfully organized the GCCI Health Summit—an insightful and awareness-driven session focused on heart health and the importance of maintaining a balanced life in today’s demanding professional environment. The summit aimed to address the growing concern of cardiovascular diseases among entrepreneurs, professionals, and families, where prolonged stress, extended working hours, and lack of work-life balance have become silent contributors to heart-related problems.
Titled “Harmony with Healthy Heart: Work-Life Balance Strategies for Entrepreneurs and Families,” the session highlighted how modern lifestyles, despite professional success, often neglect physical and mental well-being. The objective of the program was to encourage participants to rethink their daily routines and understand that heart health extends beyond medical treatment—it is deeply connected to lifestyle choices, emotional wellness, and preventive care.
The summit featured expert insights from two leading cardiologists of Marengo CIMS Hospital, Ahmedabad—Dr. Keyur Parikh, Chairman and Interventional Cardiologist, and Dr. Anish Chandarana, Interventional Cardiologist. Drawing from extensive clinical experience and evidence-based medicine, both speakers explained the strong correlation between chronic stress, sedentary habits, unhealthy routines, and the rising incidence of heart disease. They emphasized that while medical advancements are crucial, proactive lifestyle management and mental well-being play an equally vital role in protecting heart health.
Throughout the session, participants gained practical guidance on achieving work-life balance despite busy schedules, understanding modifiable lifestyle risk factors, and recognizing the importance of early screening and preventive heart check-ups. The discussion also focused on how sustainable success is best achieved when physical health, emotional stability, and professional growth move in harmony.
The interactive nature of the summit encouraged open dialogue, allowing attendees to reflect on their personal health practices and responsibilities toward their families. The speakers reiterated that a healthy heart directly impacts productivity, leadership, decision-making, and overall quality of life—making preventive healthcare a shared responsibility rather than an individual concern.
The GCCI Health Summit reaffirmed GCCI’s commitment to promoting preventive healthcare by creating platforms where medical experts and the business community can engage meaningfully. Such initiatives play a crucial role in fostering awareness, encouraging early intervention, and building a healthier, more resilient society. The session was held on Friday, 19 December 2025, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the MSME Training Centre, GCCI, Ahmedabad, and witnessed active participation from entrepreneurs and professionals across sectors.
