From November 15–22, 2025, Dr. Keyur Parikh, Interventional Cardiologist and Chairman at Marengo CIMS Hospital, lead the Annapurna Circuit Trek & Ice Lake Expedition-a journey connecting heart health to the spirit of adventure. A strong heart is cultivated way in advance of any expedition. It is built through consistency, discipline, and the conscious daily choice to move, nourish, and challenge the body.
Dr. Parikh's story is a reminder of the enormous impact of lifestyle on heart health. The same doctor who climbed up to the Everest Base Camp in 2024 and now completed the Annapurna Circuit in 2025, shows that regular exercise, determination, and inner strength are the bedrock of lifelong heart health. For him, with every step—on steep mountain trails or on the everyday home path—the opportunity arises to make the heart stronger and increase endurance.
This expedition is more than an adventure; it is a reminder that extraordinary feats are possible if we pay consistent attention to our bodies. Physical activity, if incorporated into life, becomes an important tool-not just for fitness, but for general well-being. A disciplined approach toward movement, when combined with a healthy lifestyle, equips the heart in order to support challenges and aspirations in all aspects of life.
Through his journey, Dr. Parikh encourages others to move through the process of embracing the journey of movement, staying consistent, and valuing the commitment to heart health. Every small step taken for fitness builds a strong heart that can handle most ambitious challenges. His story calls on everyone to think through physical activity as empowerment, not a task or duty, but one that readies bodies and souls for the summits we aspire to.
