Successful Pulmonology-Thoracic Surgery Interdisciplinary Meet

Marengo CIMS Hospital, along with Association of Chest Physicians of Gujarat and Association of Physician of Ahmedabad, organized extremely successful Pulmonology-Thoracic Surgery Interdisciplinary Meet on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Hotel Radisson Blu, Ahmedabad. 

It was an event that brought together top-notch stalwarts and keen learners belonging to both disciplines together for a day of productive academic interaction and inter specialty learning. The meeting endeavoured to close the gap in knowledge between the two specialties, and it was successful in doing so.

One of the main highlights of the day was the Panel Discussion on Lung Cancer Diagnosis & Management.

This educational session was chaired by Dr. Amit Patel and included an eminent panel comprising: Dr. Devang Bhavsar, Consultant Radiation Oncologist; Dr. Vaishal Sheth, Consultant Pulmonologist; Dr. Bhavesh Parekh, Consultant & Head - Medical Oncology; Dr. Gautam Shah, Consultant Histopathologist; and Dr. Abhishek Jain, Consultant Breast & Thoracic Onco Surgeon.

The meeting was able to bridge the gap between surgeons and pulmonologists, increasing the information and skill base of everyone who attended and being a benchmark meeting for both specialties in the region.
